UpGrad learning platform offers various courses like Data science, Product Management which learners can get enrolled into by buying the course. Each course is 6-18 months long. I admire the learning platform by UpGrad (both on web and mobile) because of following reasons-
Gamification of content- Each video is of short duration of 2-8 mins and in app questions are asked anytime within video to maintain curiosity and activeness among the learners.
FOMO-
Learning Tracker tracks how much progress is made by the learner and how much is left for each deadline which creates fomo among learners.
Product also has a learning streak tracker which tracks learner’s learning minutes everyday.
Assignment submission every Wednesday which helps in consistency among learners and hence increased retention.
3. Engagement-
Discussion forums create engagement within the learners, where questions can be asked and discussed and subject matter experts are available for any queries.
Weekend live sessions by SMEs for Soft skills and technical skills which creates better customer experience
4. Referral channels- Badges are given to learners like “first to finish the module”, for posting questions which got most “Popular” which can be shared to social media like LinkedIn, sharing such posts increases awareness about the UpGrad platform in social channels as well as work for creating reputation for learners on professional sites.
